Let's be breast-friends!
As a mom of two breastfed boys, I completely understand how much work breastfeeding takes. Whether you are expecting or already snuggling your little one, it's always good to have support!

We will have a scale for weighted feeds and provide an environment that is cozy and you can come hang for as long as you want. Dr Melissa is completing her certification to become a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and Noelle Dimas is an IBCLC who owns Mums Lactation, LLC.

This group is great for everyone and if you do need more one-on-one support, we can chat about that as well. Bring your support partner/s and older kiddos are also welcome!

I cannot wait to meet you and help you on your breastfeeding journey.

Why I am passionate about breastfeeding
When I had my first son Knox, my struggle began before we even left the hospital. No one told me about Second Night Syndrome and after 6 hours of him screaming I finally asked the nurse to take him to the nursery so that I could get just a little sleep. They brought him back 4 hours later and told me that he just got a bottle of donor milk and that he's happy now because he clearly wasn't getting enough milk from me. The IBCLC at the hospital advised that I supplement with formula until my milk came in.

That supplementation led to him having bottle preference and by 3 days old, he was not wanting to latch to me and I was completely devastated that our breastfeeding journey was already over and I felt like I failed him because I couldn't even feed my baby. Luckily we got some great advice and we were able to save our breastfeeding relationship and he went on to breastfeed for 19 months until I got pregnant with his brother Kash.

This experience made me realize how many moms are getting truly awful advice from people they should be able to trust to help them. If I can help support families and be just a small part of them having the breastfeeding journey of their dreams, then I will be forever grateful.
